High blood pressure is one of the main modifiable risk factors for the development of cardiovascular complications, such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, stroke, and chronic kidney disease. Several clinical cases have shown that inadequate blood pressure control is associated with increased morbidity and mortality and progressive target organ deterioration. Analysis of these clinical scenarios highlights the need for timely diagnosis, accurate risk stratification, and the implementation of combination therapies to optimize prognosis. Furthermore, the importance of a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach, as well as ongoing monitoring, is emphasized to prevent complications and improve the quality of life of patients with high blood pressure.
