Renal survival in both primary and secondary glomerulopathies depends on the specific type of disease, the severity of the glomerular damage, the response to treatment, and the presence of other health conditions. Generally, primary glomerulopathies, such as minimal change disease, tend to have a good outlook with proper treatment, while others, like rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis, can quickly cause kidney failure. Secondary glomerulopathies, related to systemic diseases like diabetes or lupus, often improve with treatment of the underlying condition but may also require immunosuppressive therapy and management of chronic kidney disease.
